Pain & Health Insurance Information for Motor Vehicle Accidents
Snowy conditions always seem to increase the number of Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVAs). Often times, after being in a fender-bender, the pain or discomfort that is associated with an MVA doesn't show up until the next day.
Whether your pain is mild, moderate or severe, we can help make both the insurance process simple and help you with your pain, all at the same time.
Here are three steps that can help you make sense of what to do if you have been involved in an MVA.
Contact your insurance company. Let them know you have been in an MVA.
They will give you a contact name, a claim number and an AB-1 Form.
Fill out the AB-1 form immediately.
Call Cadence Chiropractic, tell us you have been in an MVA and we will schedule you in for an Primary Assessment right away with one of our Doctors.
Chiropractors are Primary Health Care Practitioners, and are one of three types of Practitioners that are able to perform the Primary Assessment after an MVA. As such, Chiropractors can bill your insurance company directly for the treatment of the injuries you sustained in an accident.
At the Primary Assessment, you will also receive your first treatment.
Bring with you your insurance contact name and claim number.
You can even bring in your AB-1 form and we will fax it to your insurance company for you!
You and your Chiropractor will discuss your injuries and what to do next with respect to a treatment plan. At Cadence Chiropractic, our goal is to get you back to pre-accident status as soon as possible, so you can return to work, play and sport quickly.
Your treatment plan may include a combination of the following: Chiropractic Care, Active Release (ART®), Acupuncture and/or Massage, all of which you can get under one roof at Cadence Chiropractic.
If you have been in an MVA and you have any questions about the process, please call us at 403-521-2278, We are here to help and make the process simple!
