Kinesio Tape is a unique tape that has 140% elasticity, matching that of the skin and stretches with the body during movement (unlike other athletic tape which is restrictive in nature). It is a breakthrough therapeutic and sports taping method that helps correct muscle imbalances, decreases pain and swelling and promotes healing. Kinesio Tape is applied directly to the skin and can be left on for 3-5 days.

Kinesio Tape application allows us to work, play & perform with optimal function and minimal discomfort. Kinesio Taping relies on the activation of neurological and circulatory pathways present in the body to produce desired results. The effectiveness of a Kinesio Tape application is enhanced when used in conjunction with other therapies, such as ART®.

It will prolong the effects of therapy, aid an athlete in training and rehabilitation, speed up the process of healing and provide pain relief while it is applied.

Kinesio Tape can be used for headaches to foot problems and everything in between. Examples include: tennis & golfers elbow, Achilles tendonosis, rotator cuff strain, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back pain, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, patellar tracking, pre- and post-surgical edema, ankle sprains, etc.

Kinesio Tape can also be used as a method for athletic injury prevention and as postural support.

In his 2003 book Every Second Counts, Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong noted his team used "a special hot-pink athletic tape that came from Japan and seemed to have magical powers."

Armstrong added "Sometimes we'd be so wrapped up in hot-pink tape that we'd look like dolls, a bunch of broken dolls. But the tape worked, so we kept it, because it could fix things."
